Throughout the year, the Volunteer in Germany invites people from all over the world to study German and Arabic, or intern and volunteer. Whenever you visit, you are guaranteed to find a diverse community of international peers working or studying with you.
We Have A Diverse Community
Additionally, the Volunteer in Germany employs some Syrian and German teachers as well as 3 staff employees. All of them are friendly, welcoming, and keen to share their experiences with you. Our organization also has a lot of Arab, German, and refugee students who come to study or participate in community development activities. The friends you make in this group, and the conversations you share, are some of the most rewarding aspects of visiting Halle.
When in a new place with a different culture, it helps to have a group that includes you unconditionally. The international volunteers and students in Germany get along great. Everyone is in the same boat and we are all very supportive of each other. Being an international volunteer or a student isn’t all work and no play. There are many opportunities to get out and do other things. You can hang out with your German or Arab host families as well as other international volunteers and interns.
Free Time Provides New Opportunites
On days off, international volunteers and students typically travel to places outside Halle (Germany), like Leipzig and Berlin. Staying in Germany for two or three months sounds like a long time, but it will fly by. The best advice we can give to any prospective volunteers or students is thus to engage wholeheartedly in the culture and community development activities on offer.
Meeting new people in Halle (Saale), Germany through the Volunteer in Germany is as rewarding as it is easy. Just come with an open mind and a willingness to communicate and engage with new people. Do this, and you are sure to make life-long memories in Halle.
